What type of Counselling do I offer?
My work flows from my own life experience. It is alive and grows and changes as I grow and change. Each encounter with a client is an exciting and challenging opportunity for fresh insights and experiments in new ways of solving personal problems.
Jungian psychotherapy and Voice Dialogue is aimed at helping people to connect with the fountain of youth in their unconscious.
This brings about healing of a variety of problems from phobias, anxiety and depressions to also healing physical illness, relationships and promoting effectiveness and wealth creation at work. Therapy will often begin with issues related to family patterns. Dreams are most helpful but not essential in helping understand these patterns.
While a lucky few come through the challenges of childhood with their natural-born personal power and their relaxed openness to love intact, most of us don't.
Most parents do their best in rearing their children, but if they have not been nurtured or supported as children then it's difficult for them to nurture and support their own children in the way they need it.
Many need to understand how key figures have become internalised, influencing us in ways which may be counter-productive at times. I spend a lot of time introducing people to and helping them unhook from their inner critics and perfectionists.
As the work progresses, we talk less of parents as the individual's unique destiny is revealed to them through access to their unconscious resources.
A consistent development in most people is towards a more altruistic drive to be of service to the community and to find real joy and vitality in expressing their authentic self. Spiritual maturity occurs naturally as old self-defeating patterns dissolve.
